Media Buying & Planning for National Theatre of Scotland

We've worked with National Theatre of Scotland since 2022, becoming their media buying agency for all productions across Scotland, and the UK.

We work very closely with the team at NTS, we can actually see their custom built headquarters from our window as we are next door neighbours! Their productions are innovative, thought-provoking and entertaining, and we work to ensure that we answer their briefs with thoughtfulness and reach in mind.

Their vision of 'Theatre Without Walls' and ensuring that theatre is accessible to all, results in briefs that cover every corner of Scotland, from the Highlands and Islands, to the Borders, with productions also touring to locations across the globe.

Our media plans must align with both NTS and the venue communication strategies, therefore we are considered in our approach, and hyper-local with media choices.

Our very first brief was 'Burn', a one-man tour-de-force with Scottish legend Alan Cumming, and we have since worked on productions including a fully female ensemble of Bram Stoker's 'Dracula', 'Dear Billy', the stories and humour that make Billy Connolly an icon of comedy, and 'Moorcroft', a co-production with the Tron Theatre following working-class Scottish men and their love of football as an escape from everyday life, and more since then.

The media used for productions such as these is varied. We lean heavily on digital channels to deliver optimised creative and messaging, across paid social, programmatic display and search advertising.

Getting to the heart of rural communities also sees us deliver bespoke OOH plans, local radio, and use of local press titles to ensure coverage over and above any digital means. In larger areas such as Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee, this is scaled further to encompass national radio buys, large scale OOH, street posters, podcast advertising, transport sites and more.

The coming season will see us work on a variety of new productions across Scotland. For up to date listings visit National Theatre of Scotland here.
