What happened at Big Think this Summer?

Review

With the clocks going back this weekend, summer is well and truly in the past... now that we think about it, did it ever really happen? So, as we try to remember the feeling of sunshine on our skin, we’re also reminiscing about the past few months of work at Big Think. Here’s what went down:

12 NEW CLIENTS

We’re always delighted to meet new clients, but when we add the likes of Scouts, Fake Bake and Girls Day Out to our client list, it makes it even more special. This summer, we’ve had the privilege of working with some pretty great new clients on design projects, new websites and PPC campaigns to name a few… we can’t wait to share more details soon.

5 NEW WEBSITES

It was a busy ol’ summer here at Big Think, as we managed to squeeze in a fair few website launches. Our digital team were working to the max to deliver sites for some fantastic clients, from telecommunications companies, to recruitment and even Murrayfield Experience, who wanted a bespoke site to promote their Christmas party nights.

4 ANNUAL REPORTS

Each summer, we get to see just how well our clients are doing as we work on their annual reports, and this year was no different. We always love working with charities and schools – creating their annual reports means we get to see what a huge difference they really make. Whether it’s Rangers Charity Foundation and their work in Glasgow communities, or seeing what a huge impact Scouting can have on young peoples’ lives, we’re honoured to be a part of that.

1 NEW DESIGNER

In August, we welcomed our newest newbie to the team... everyone, say hi to Steph! She’s our super talented designer and we’re lucky to have her (and her hats). Having a fresh face in the studio has been a great asset – whether she’s developing fantastic new brands for our clients or creating fun social content, Steph has quickly become an integral part of our team.

1 BANK ROBBED

Yes, really! (OK, not a real one, but we had you going there, right?) In September, we headed on down to Escape Rooms Scotland to try our hand at their Bank Heist – we even made it with 7 minutes to spare! And even better, what started as a fun teambuilding exercise, turned out to be the beginning of another excellent Big Think night out.

2 FRUIT BASKETS

Poor Iain, his attempt to get us all beach-body ready this summer by introducing ‘Healthy Thursdays’ wasn’t exactly a success. We just aren’t willing to give up our chocolate fix yet, but maybe this one will make a reappearance in the run up to Christmas… never say never, Iain!

4 CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGNS

We were dreaming of a White Christmas early this year, with our first piece of festive artwork being completed in March. Since then, we spent the summer creating 4 magical new Christmas campaigns for clients from Rangers to Murrayfield Stadium.

250+ HOURS OF TRAINING

It’s important we keep on top of our game to deliver the best service for our clients. We’ve tallied up the hours and we reckon we’ve collectively spent well over 250 hours developing our skills, in the past few months alone. Michelle and Lewis from our digital marketing team passed their Google exams with flying colours, whilst Tony racked up the hours in his Scottish Enterprise Leadership course.

1 GOOGLE PARTNER STATUS

Thanks to the hard work of our digital marketing team, together with the amount of campaigns we run for our clients each month, we became a certified Google Partner Agency in July. So, whilst we’ve always been able to run successful digital marketing campaigns, we can now wear our Google Partner badge with pride. And hey, if you think that could be a benefit to your business, you can find out more about that here.
